The Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (EYFS-Informed Practice) develops
advanced capability to design, deliver and quality assure high-standard early years provision for
children from birth to 5+ years. Informed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at an awareness
level, the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) and international early childhood research,
the programme integrates child development, curriculum and environment design (indoor/outdoor),

Inclusive and culturally responsive practice; UDL-informed approaches (awareness)
Working with SEND and multilingual/EAL children; early identification and support; promoting wellbeing and resilience

Module 7 – Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Professional Responsibilities (Awareness)

Safeguarding principles; recognising, recording and reporting concerns (awareness level)
Health and safety, supervision, risk assessment and policy awareness; professional conduct and boundaries

Module 8 – Family Partnerships, Leadership and Quality Enhancement

Partnering with parents/carers and community services; family learning and communication
Using data, self-evaluation and action planning to drive continuous improvement; reflective practice aligned to UKPSF dimensions
