A practice-centred programme that equips early years and school staff to recognise, respond to,
record, and refer safeguarding concerns while promoting pupil wellbeing. Informed by KCSIE
(Keeping Children Safe in Education) awareness, EYFS safeguarding and welfare requirements
awareness, and international good practice, the course develops confident frontline practice:
recognising indicators of abuse, managing disclosures, maintaining accurate records, escalating
concerns, and working effectively with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and external
agencies. (This course supports professional practice; it is not legal advice and does not replace
statutory training required by employers or regulators.)
