Advanced Professional Certificate in Laser & IPL for Hair Reduction & Skin Rejuvenation (Core of Knowledge Awareness)

A safety-first, practice-oriented programme for non-medical aesthetic practitioners who operate
laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) devices for hair reduction and skin rejuvenation.

Course Overview

A safety-first, practice-oriented programme for non-medical aesthetic practitioners who operate
laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) devices for hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. The course
delivers “Core of Knowledge” awareness—laser/IPL physics, hazards, controls, ocular safety,
patient/client selection, parameter setting within device IFUs, documentation, and incident
response—so treatments are delivered consistently, ethically, and in compliance with insurer and
regulatory expectations.

Why This Course is Important?

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:

  • Hair reduction vs rejuvenation endpoints; session intervals and course planning
  • Skin preparation (shaving, makeup removal, degrease) and cooling
  • Hand hygiene, trolley set-up, single-use items; room turnover between clients
  • Plume control (capture/filtration awareness) and waste handling
  • Recognising over-treatment vs expected erythema/edema
  • First response to hot spots, blistering, suspected burns; documentation and medical escalation when indicated
  • CAPA logs and learning reviews
