Whitestone International Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Contract Management

The programme introduces key dimensions of strategic sourcing, category and supplier management, tendering and evaluation, contract structures and lifecycle management (non-legal), performance and risk management, ethical and sustainable procurement.

Course Overview

The Whitestone International Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Contract Management is a 12-month vocational programme designed to provide a structured, practice-oriented foundation in strategic procurement, end-to-end supply chain management, and the governance of commercial contracts at a non-legal, management-support level.

The programme introduces key dimensions of strategic sourcing, category and supplier management, tendering and evaluation, contract structures and lifecycle management (non-legal), performance and risk management, ethical and sustainable procurement, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, legal and logistics teams. It is intended for individuals who support, or aspire to support, procurement, purchasing, contract management, and supply chain coordination roles in private, public and non-profit organisations.

Learners will explore how organisations analyse spend, select and contract suppliers, manage supply risk, drive value, and oversee contractual performance, while ensuring that procurement practices align with governance, compliance, sustainability and stakeholder expectations. The emphasis is on management practice, process discipline, and commercial awareness, rather than on providing legal advice or drafting complex contract clauses independently.

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to contribute effectively to procurement operations, supplier and contract management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement across the supply chain, working in partnership with legal, finance, operations and senior leadership.

This diploma is vocational and non-regulated. It does not qualify learners as lawyers, legal counsel, arbitrators, or regulated procurement professionals, and does not authorise them to give legal advice, sign contracts on behalf of organisations, or conduct formal tendering in regulated environments without appropriate oversight. All legal interpretation, contract drafting, formal procurement tendering under public-sector or regulated frameworks, and dispute resolution must be carried out only by appropriately qualified and authorised professionals, in line with applicable laws and organisational policies.
