Learners will explore how data-centre teams manage the day-to-day operation of critical environments, including power distribution, backup systems, cooling, racks, cabling, monitoring, access control, service continuity, maintenance planning, and incident escalation. The emphasis is on support-level operational competence, infrastructure awareness, reliability discipline, and structured reporting rather than unsupervised work on high-voltage systems, critical electrical infrastructure, or regulated engineering systems.
This diploma is vocational and non-regulated. It does not qualify learners as licensed electricians, chartered engineers, authorised persons, critical-facility managers, network architects, or cyber-security specialists. It does not authorise learners to independently work on high-voltage systems, modify live electrical installations, approve critical infrastructure designs, certify fire or life-safety systems, or make statutory engineering decisions.
