Course Overview
The Advanced Professional Certificate in Mental Wellbeing, Resilience & Mind–Body Wellness
Coaching develops non-clinical capability to support clients with everyday stress, mood, energy and
life-balance challenges through holistic, lifestyle-based coaching. Drawing on evidence-aware
concepts from positive psychology, resilience research, nervous-system regulation (awareness level)
and behaviour change, the programme blends mindset work, stress management, sleep and
recovery, movement and breathing practices, self-compassion and values-based living—so coaches
can design safe, realistic and culturally sensitive support plans that enhance day-to-day functioning
while working alongside, not instead of, regulated mental-health professionals.
Why This Course is Important?
- Rising pressure and burnout: Many people feel overloaded, anxious or flat yet are not accessing formal mental-health services—or are on waiting lists.
- Gap between clinical care and daily life: Non-clinical, lifestyle-focused coaching can help clients build supportive routines, skills and boundaries while respecting clinical limits.
- Mind–body integration: Sleep, movement, breathing, nutrition awareness, relationships and meaning all influence how people feel and cope.
- Ethical practice: Structured training in scope-of-practice, red-flag awareness and referral is essential to protect clients and practitioners.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:
- Explain, in everyday language, key concepts related to mental wellbeing, stress, resilience and mind–body connection (awareness level, non-clinical).
- Use coaching skills to help clients clarify values, strengths and realistic wellbeing goals across life domains.
- Design non-clinical support plans that integrate stress-management tools, sleep and recovery habits, movement, breathing practices and simple self-care rituals.
- Support clients to build psychological resources such as optimism, self-compassion, gratitude and social connection (non-therapeutic).
- Apply behaviour-change and habit-formation strategies to help clients embed supportive routines into busy lives.
- Communicate sensitively with clients experiencing everyday stress and low mood, while avoiding diagnosing, treating or pathologising.
- Recognise red flags for potential mental-health conditions or risk (e.g., severe or persistent symptoms, self-harm thoughts, trauma disclosures) and follow appropriate signposting/referral routes.
Target Audience
- Health and wellness coaches working with stress, lifestyle and general wellbeing
- Fitness professionals, yoga/pilates and mind–body instructors adding wellbeing coaching to their practice
- Corporate wellbeing, HR and occupational health practitioners designing resilience and wellbeing initiatives
- Nurses, allied-health assistants, educators and community workers providing lifestyle-based wellbeing support under organisational or clinical frameworks
- Graduates of foundational health coaching or wellness certificates seeking a mental wellbeing and resilience specialism (non-clinical)
Entry Requirements
- Prior experience or study in coaching, health, fitness, education, HR, counselling support or related helping professions is strongly recommended.
- Proficiency in English (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent suggested).
- Basic digital literacy for blended/online learning and assessment submission.
