Whitestone International Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
The diploma introduces key dimensions of supply chain concepts, end-to-end planning, procurement and supplier coordination, inventory and warehousing, transport and distribution, customer service, performance measurement, technology enablement, and risk and sustainability awareness.
Course Overview
The Whitestone International Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management is a 12-month vocational programme designed to provide a structured, practice-oriented foundation in how goods, information, and services flow from origin to final customer across local, regional, and global networks.
The diploma introduces key dimensions of supply chain concepts, end-to-end planning, procurement and supplier coordination, inventory and warehousing, transport and distribution, customer service, performance measurement, technology enablement, and risk and sustainability awareness. It is designed for individuals working in, or aspiring to work in, logistics, supply chain,= operations, warehousing, procurement, and distribution roles.
Learners will explore how well-managed supply chains support reliability, cost control, responsiveness, and service quality, and how different functions—planning, sourcing, operations, warehousing, transport, and customer service—must collaborate. The emphasis is on applied practice, process discipline, and cross-functional coordination, rather than on advanced mathematical optimisation, international trade law, or customs and tax advisory work.
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to contribute effectively to planning, executing, and improving logistics and supply chain operations, within clearly defined responsibilities and in coordination with specialists.
This diploma is vocational and non-regulated. It does not qualify learners as customs brokers, legal advisers, chartered logisticians, or financial/tax consultants, and does not replace any statutory or professional licences. All customs, tax, regulatory, and specialised technical matters must be handled by appropriately qualified professionals and in accordance with applicable laws and standards.
Why This Course is Important?
- Organisations depend on reliable sourcing, production, storage, and delivery to meet customer expectations and control cost.
- Poor planning, weak visibility, and unmanaged risk in logistics and supply chains can cause delays, stockouts, excess inventory, and reputational damage.
- Planners, buyers, warehouse staff, transport coordinators, and supervisors need a shared, structured understanding of how their roles fit into the wider supply chain.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:
- Explain core concepts in logistics, supply chain management, and value chains at a vocational level.
- Describe and support end-to-end processes from sourcing and inbound logistics through warehousing, distribution, and customer delivery.
- Contribute to inventory, warehousing, and transport decisions within defined policies and planning frameworks.
- Assist in demand and supply coordination, supplier and customer communication, and basic performance tracking.
- Demonstrate awareness of technology tools commonly used in logistics and supply chain environments at a non-technical, user level.
- Recognise risk, sustainability, and compliance considerations in logistics and supply chain activities, escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Work collaboratively across functions to support reliability, efficiency, and service quality in the supply chain.
Target Audience
- Individuals in or aspiring to roles such as Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Assistant, Warehouse Supervisor (junior), Distribution Officer, Inventory Controller, Procurement/Buying Assistant, or Operations Planner.
- Staff working in manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, distribution, transport, logistics service providers, FMCG, and industrial sectors.
- Graduates and career changers seeking a structured entry into logistics and supply chain careers.
- Entrepreneurs and managers in small and medium enterprises who need a clear foundation in supply chain concepts to support growth and efficiency.
Entry Requirements
- A recognised higher secondary qualification, diploma, or equivalent
- Interest or experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, procurement, transport, or customer service
- Proficiency in English (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent recommended) to understand process descriptions, data summaries, and professional documentation
