Certified Beauty & Aesthetics Professional (CBAP)

Course Overview

The CBAP credential verifies practical, audit-ready competence across non-medical beauty and
aesthetic practice. It assesses the end-to-end capability required to consult ethically, plan
treatments, deliver services safely and hygienically, communicate after-care clearly, document to
insurer/regulatory standards, and operate within local licensing and scope-of-practice rules. The
focus is professional consistency, client safety, and business reliability.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:

Conduct structured consultation & screening (history, medications, allergies, Fitzpatrick typing) and decide to proceed/defer/refer ethically.
Plan and deliver non-medical facial/skin services (e.g., dermaplaning; hydro- dermabrasion/hydrofacial-type steps; cosmetic superficial peels and cosmetic microneedling where separately trained), following manufacturer IFUs and local limits.
Apply hygiene & infection-prevention (standard precautions, zoning, single-use discipline, sharps/waste where applicable) and COSHH-style chemical safety.
Provide after-care & home-care guidance; manage expectations, downtime, and rebooking cadence.
Recognise expected reactions vs adverse events, deliver first responses, document, and escalate when indicated.
Maintain insurer/regulator-ready records: consent, treatment notes/parameters, batch/lot & device logs, photos, after-care, and incident/CAPA forms.
Uphold ethical advertising, data protection (GDPR-aware), and professional boundaries within a non-medical scope.

Target Audience

Entry Requirements

Age 18+; English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 suggested.
Completion of foundational training in facial/skin therapy; evidence of recent CPD in any advanced modalities practiced.
Signed declaration to operate strictly within non-medical scope and to comply with local licensing/insurance requirements.
Submission of a Practice Log (minimum recent cases as specified in the candidate handbook).
